Fire Services Department Community Collaboration Network
The Hong Kong Fire Services Department (FSD) is committed to providing the public with efficient and effective fire and ambulance services. In order to improve its services and better respond to the needs of the community, the FSD set up the Fire Services Department Community Collaboration Network (FSDCCN) to promote a better understanding between the department and members of the public.
Functions
- To exchange views on the FSD’s services and latest policy initiatives;
- To monitor the FSD’s delivery of services against the performance targets;
- To suggest and comment on ways of improving the FSD’s services;
- To disseminate the FSD’s information to the community; and
- To mobilise community resources in support of the FSD’s policy initiatives, including but not limited to the promotion of fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Composition
The FSDCCN is chaired by the Assistant Director of Fire Services (Corporate Strategy). Members are chairpersons of the 18 District Fire Safety Committees (DFSCs).

Meetings
The FSDCCN normally meets twice a year, but the frequency of meetings can be increased or reduced as the Chairperson deems necessary. The Chairperson may invite any representatives of government departments or private bodies to attend the meetings if necessary.
Fire Services Department Public Safety Strategy
The FSD has implemented various initiatives on public safety promotion and education over the years to raise public awareness of fire safety, and has proactively implemented a "community-based" public safety strategy and strived to establish partnerships with local communities. The 「Fire Services Department Public Safety Strategy」 is compiled for further elaboration of the relevant policies.
